Georgia O’Keeffe believed in not only taking time to smell the roses, but to take in their external beauty too. She said, “If you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it’s your world for a moment.” Her appreciation of what some may consider harsh landscapes, and encouragement to look at flowers up close, makes her one of our favorite native wanderers.
This lip balm is our version of Georgia O’Keefe’s perspective of nature up close. Rose oil helps balance moisture levels in skin, and has nourishing and healing properties, along with antibacterial and calming traits. Lavender is antimicrobial, antifungal, has antioxidants, and even stimulates collagen production. Vanilla not only calms the mind, but its compounds help neutralize free radicals and prevent skin damage. Green tea supports healthy skin and rejuvenation. Breathe it, feel it, taste it, capture the wild!
We would like to assert that in our humble opinion, our Native Wanderings lip balms are the bomb! Each one is hand made with intention, and respect for our planet. It is our hope that they would make the wanderers that inspired them proud.
Each balm is 0.3oz, twice the amount of normal lip balm! They come in 100% biodegradable and renewable containers. Due to the eco-friendly nature of the packaging, the containers push up from the bottom. They are filled to the bottom of the double sided rim to prevent oil stains, but this does not change the fill weight.
Every balm contains:
Cacao Butter: Contains high amounts of fatty acids to help hydrate the lips and create a protective barrier that holds moisture in, and prevents them from drying.
Vitamin E Oil: Can be used to relieve chapped or dry lips. Promotes cell turnover and regeneration, making your lips softer.
Shea Butter: A rich source of fatty acids, antioxidants, with anti-aging qualities that keep lips plump and smooth. Anti-inflammatory attributes help heal and prevent chapped lips.
Jojoba oil: Carries essential vitamins like B and E, and minerals beneficial for soft lips such as zinc and copper. It’s chemically similar to the skin’s natural oil, so it restores the moisture to your lips that the sun, cold, and wind can remove.
Coconut oil: Holds lauric acid that nourishes and moisturizes. Provides a protective barrier to protect the lips, and block bacteria and irritants from causing damage. Restorative attributes help to heal dry, chapped lips.
Beeswax: Composed of natural emulsifiers that help to retain moisture. Along with its antibacterial elements, beeswax can also help protect your lips from harmful UV rays.
